portable CMM is traditionally designed to inspect parts that are difficult to move or for other reasons impractical to measure with a coordinate
measuring machine.
Usually portable CMMs are used on the shop floor and can be
mounted on the part manufacturing machinery.
Mini CMMs have been invented to provide
highest precision without the need to invest in the cost of
larger CMMs. The Microgage
tabletop CMM provides high
precision for small and medium sized parts with intrinsic
